How do I book a reservation?

It’s easy, just click on “Reserve Now”. You’ll be taken to a safe & secure online reservation service. Enter your desired dates and click on “Reserve now”.

You’ll be asked to fill out your contact and payment information and to electronically sign the rental rules and agreement. We’re also happy to walk you through the process and answer any questions, just email us or call us at 361.523.9610

 

How and when is payment processed?

Once we receive your reservation request we’ll process payment according to your check-in date.

1.               • For reservations made LESS THAN 30 days before check-in date, 100% of the rental rate + security deposit is due.

2.               • For reservations made MORE THAN 30 days before check-in date, 50% of the rental rate + security deposit is due upon booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to check-in.

3.               Once payment has been made, the key location information will be released.

 

Why do I have to pay in full before my check-in date?

If you’ve never stayed in a vacation rental this may be a foreign concept but it’s a common practice for vacation rentals. Once we accept your booking we block out those dates and turn down inquiries from all other travelers who may want to book the same dates. If you change your mind on a whim, we’re left with empty handed because we’ve turned down all of those prospects.

 

When do I receive check-in information?

You will receive check-in information by email upon payment in full. In the check-in information, we will include the address, key location, and other helpful information (including an area guide).

 

What’s the check- in / check-out time?

Check-in time is after 3 P.M. CST and Check-out is by 11 A.M. CST

 

Is there a parking space at the guest homes?

Yes, Sea Oats Cottage has a parking spot for two vehicles. There’s also room for one car on the street (free) in front of the guest home. We ask that you respect the neighbors and avoid parking in front of their homes.

 

Are parties or events allowed?

Generally NO. Please inquire about your special occasion.

 

Sea Oats Cottage is located in a peaceful, residential neighborhood. We respect our neighbors and expect our guests to as well.

There is a city wide ordinance that prohibits loud noise after 10:00 p.m. Neighbors have the right to call the owner of the property to report any violations. Please refrain from loud noise after 10:00 p.m.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, made:

> 60 days prior to check-in date = 100% refund

> 30 days prior to check-in date = 25% refund

< 30 days prior to check-in date = 0% refund

 

Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent paid, or release you from responsibility for rent still owed. If you must cancel or shorten your stay, we will do our best to re-book your dates. If we are able to re-book any/all dates, we will credit the amount recouped (minus a $100 rebooking fee and credit card fees) toward payments made or still owed.

Do you allow pets?

NO

 

What is the minimum renter age?


25

 

Is smoking allowed?

No. Sea Oats Cottage is a non-smoking facility.  If there is evidence of smoking during a guest stay there will be an automatic $250 cleaning fee assessed.

 

Do you supply linens, cleaning supplies, etc?

All of our homes are completely stocked including all cookware, linens, and towels. We also provide high-speed WiFi and Direct TV cable in living area & bedroom.  We also provide a starter supply of cleaning products, paper products (TP, PT) and dish soap. 

 

When will I receive my security deposit refund?

It is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.

·         No damage is done to unit or its contents beyond normal wear and tear.

·         No charges are incurred due to contraband or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.

·         All debris, rubbish, and discards are placed in the trash can and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher.

·         All windows and doors are left locked.

·         The thermostat is set according to check-out procedures.

·         No linens are lost or damaged.

·         No artwork is lost, stolen, or damaged.

·         No early check-in or late check-out unless agreed upon.

·         The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), or by the local law enforcement.

 

Do you rent long term?

Yes, we do and have many guests who enjoy staying for an extended stay.  Please email us for this particular inquiry.

 

Are there grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, etc near by?

Yes, tons!
